What Lovart is
Lovart is an AI design agent built by Evoken (演语科技), the AI application company founded by Chen Mian. Its official site is lovart.ai, where the product is positioned as a design agent: you describe a brand and its needs in conversation, and it produces design assets such as logos, packaging, social content, and video ads.
Lovart is one of three product lines from the same company, alongside Liblib, an AI image-creation and model-sharing community, and LibTV, an AI video creation tool — an image community, a design agent, and a video tool respectively.
Release timeline
The following is Chen Mian’s own account in the LateTalk episode 175 interview (July 2026, republished by Chwang):
- Before Lovart, the team built Xingliu (星流), an AI design product whose node-based image workflow attempt failed in 2024; the team then pivoted to agents.
- Lovart’s beta launched in May 2025 and the official version in July of that year. The official release included ChatCanvas: select a region on the canvas and let the agent revise and edit it through natural language.

As a design agent, its output is design assets rather than finished engineering work; what sets it apart from general assistants is that its tools and generation are organized around design workflows. Neither published Weekly transcript names Lovart directly, but two passages are directly relevant:
- In Weekly #001’s chapter “不要羞于卖 Token：体验套利与中转站机会” (don’t be shy about selling tokens), Orange, discussing how AI applications sell tokens, says: “Look at Mian Shen — he’s this far ahead, and he’s still getting flak alone” (the line in the Chinese transcript). “Mian Shen” is the hosts’ nickname for Chen Mian, founder of the company behind Lovart.
- In the same episode’s chapter “AI 应用市场回暖了吗？利润空间比需求更现实” (is the AI application market recovering?), Orange cites “like Chen Mian, who packages it into some plan” as an example of bundling model costs into subscription plans and betting on usage (the line).
- In Weekly #002’s chapter “设计 Agent 为什么也需要执行环境” (why design agents also need an execution environment), Guizang describes limits he hit moving his workflow onto design agents: this kind of vertical agent gives the model no runtime and no ability to code for layout tasks (the line in the Chinese transcript).
