What Dia is
Dia is an AI browser developed by The Browser Company. The company announced the product in December 2024, and in May 2025 it stopped active development of Arc to focus on Dia; in September 2025 The Browser Company was acquired by Atlassian. Per the official site, Dia’s AI features build on the user’s browsing and work context: Morning Brief summarizes calendar, inbox, and key links; Reports gather information scattered across tools such as Slack, Notion, and Calendar into shareable reports; cross-context questions can reach GSuite, Slack, and open tabs; and Decks generate presentation slides from that context. The browser also ships Live Work, Profiles, Splits, and organized tabs.
For downloads, the official download page notes it is “currently available on Apple macOS 14+ with M1 chips or later”; check the download page for current system requirements. Commercially, the download includes a 14-day free trial of the Better Days subscription, and Dia for Work adds team guardrails such as SSO and admin tools.
