EDC refers to useful items a person routinely carries, and to the practice of selecting that everyday kit.
Usage and distinctions
A phone, keys, wallet, compact flashlight or tool may be part of an EDC kit. The selection follows everyday needs. Calling a device EDC discusses its usefulness as a regular carry item; it is not an electronics specification.
