Definition
Computer vision extracts and interprets information from images or video, supporting tasks such as recognition, detection and segmentation.
Usage and distinctions
Classification assigns a category to an image; detection also locates objects. The bounding boxes discussed in the episode illustrate detection. Computer vision is not synonymous with language modeling and need not use a chat interface.
